Iva Toguri d"Aquino, an American citizen visiting Japan when war broke out, was forced to host a radio propaganda show called "Zero Hour." Despite the "Tokyo Rose" moniker, she secretly sabotaged broadcasts by inserting double meanings and harmless messages. After the war, she was wrongfully convicted of treason and served six years in prison before being pardoned in 1977 when evidence of her innocence emerged.
